You have heard about the Law of Attraction, but did you know that there are actually at least 12 universal laws? One of them is the Law of Belief.
You were probably brought up with a saying – I believe it when I see it! However the law of belief teaches us that we will see what we believe. And why is that? It is because our beliefs control our realities, and the way you act is consistent with your beliefs. Because actions speak louder than words, you can see other people’s beliefs through their actions also.
Our beliefs are generalisations about our past, based on our interpretation of our experiences and the meaning we stuck to them. We can change these beliefs through mastering the law of beliefs, and fine tuning our emotional intelligence, this way you can shape your beliefs and actions into serving you! You can actually choose what you want to have in your life, and how you want to be. You can choose to believe that those ideas are the truth and you can then choose to only take the actions that are consistent with your beliefs!
Just like the ‘decision muscle’ your belief muscles can be finely tuned also with persistent practice! All you have to do is choose what you want out of life and then consistently believe that it is achievable, act, talk and walk in a manner consistent with your beliefs and you can easily become the best version of you!
What you will find that successful people believe that they will be successful. They will not entertain the idea of failure. This is a difference between positive thinking – which most of the times is wishing and hoping – and positive knowing. Your beliefs in you and what you want to achieve have to be so strong that you do not accept anything else as an option. This will help you bring in your life the opportunities and events that you need to make your belief a reality as your subconscious mind will help you search and find these, but you have to be serious about what you want! In doing that you have to develop willpower to act upon your beliefs.
There are plenty of materials out there that can support you on your journey to success, to keep your willpower strong, to build your beliefs. Being with likeminded people, learning from books, attending seminars can all help you keep you on your course. And let’s not forget our own minds as the most powerful thing to help us build our belief system!
To see how strong your mind is in supporting you is try the following exercise, pick a goal and for 24 hours think and talk only about the things that you want for the next 24 hours, only think and talk of the things that you want. Imagine the pictures in your mind, and make sure your actions and words are consistent with what you want. Do not think or talk of anything you do not want.
If you can keep this up for 24 hours, you can start making changes for the rest of your life…
Remember, your beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Which one will you choose?
